If lifelong learning is one of your goal then it makes sense training yourself not to be surprised by adversity but be prepared for it.


 


The only bad decision is the one you are afraid to take.


 


When you desperately want to believe something you will subconsciously tend to downplay the associated negatives, and vice versa.


 


There is no denying that you can’t always get what you want, but are you really sure that you know what to want in the first place.


 


The shortcoming that causes you to misremember the past and misperceive the present is the very same shortcoming that causes you to misattribute your contributions and misimagine the future.


 


You cannot feel good about an imaginary future when you are busy feeling bad about an actual present.


 


The best offence is the one that fails to trigger the best defence.
